I think I’m in love!

It kinda pains me to see, though, that the piggle has better hygiene habits than Yayá.

Once is the soundtrack for my life

I think it’s time we give it up
And figure out what’s stopping us
From breathing easy
And talking straight

The way is clear, if you’re ready now
The volunteer is slowing down
And taking time to
Save himself

The little cracks that escalated
And before we knew it was too late
For making circles
And telling lies

You’re moving too fast for me
And I can’t keep up with you
Maybe if you slow down for me I
Could see you’re only telling

Lies, lies, lies
Breaking us down with your
Lies, lies, lies
When will you learn?

So plant the thought
And watch it grow
Wind it up
And let it go…

To this book. My grandma is in the hospital recovering her brain from a stroke. We do not know how she’ll turn out to be, and even though this book is hardly about my gandma’s case, it’s still interesting to read about Dr Jill’s case, which she delivers in a light, well explained and simple way that is very easy to read and very hard to put down once you start.

And I can’t help but kind of wish sometimes to be in that nirvana place that she describes. But I know what that would mean. It would mean giving up the very essence of being me, for the sake of feeling at one with the universe. No, thanks, I’ll pass.

What really caught my attention was this excerpt. I really want to live by that.

“I knew that no one had the power to make me feel anything, except for me and my brain. Nothing external to me had the power to take away my peace of heart and mind. That was completely up to me. I may not be in total control of what happens to my life, but I certainly am in charge of how I choose to perceive my experience.”

Jill Bolte Taylor, Ph.D - My Stroke of Insight.

This, right here, is why I need a decent camera with decent lenses.

This is what I got after a few days playing with a Canon 20d and a few awesome lenses.

Bear in mind that I am just a beginner. I love photography, it’s just that I suck at it.

Here is YAZA, throwing all of her puppy mojo at me.

Here is SAYID, two hundred miles per hour until he kills me from a heart attack. Slow down, kiddo.

And here is… wait for it… YES. BOTH Sayid AND Yaza. Bet you didn’t see this one coming, eh? It’s a funny picture, too.

You can see the huge versions as well as the whole set on the Flickr set. And sooner than anyone might think, I’ll have this camera in my hands and it’s gonna be legen-wait for it-dary.

(Maybe I’m watching too many “How I Met Your Mother” reruns.)

Marley and Me! There’s a movie coming out. How come I never knew?

Highly recommended. I laughed. I cried. It’s a great book!

To this show. Wow, really. Imagine how much dirt they can dig up on anyone. Everyone has skeletons in their closets and anyone who disagrees is a liar.
