How to make a hot chocolate mug for a rainy day, Vivz style.

  1. Get gigantic mug from cabinet, pretending not to notice 5 normal-sized mugs being shattered sideways.
  2. Splash milk into mug, only to realize we only had milk to fill an inch or so of the gigantic mug.
  3. After finding a new and unopened carton of milk, procede to filling gigantic mug to the rim.
  4. Get powdered chocolate from cabinet and procede to adding two to seven tablespoons of chocolate to the milk.
  5. Microwave the whole thing for a minute.
  6. Procede to looking for the cap of the powdered chocolate tin.
  7. Have the microwave bleep several times to tell that the minute’s up.
  8. Find out the mixture is still lukewarm and re-microwave the thing for three minutes.
  9. Go back to looking for the cap of the powdered chocolate tin.
  10. After finding said cap, which was of course blown by the wind to the most remote and dirty spot of the house, behind an impossible to move appliance and between several lost dog chew toys, procede to get your chocolatey goodness from microwave.
  11. Enjoy! That is, after twenty minutes of letting it sit because it’s ohsodamnHOT from all the microwaving.

The Boyfriend insists that hot chocolate isn’t made that way, that you have to add cream, cinnamon and what not. But he also insists that once we had funghi pasta on Spoleto and that is so not true, so let’s just say he’s not the universe’s most trustworthy person.

Ever since 2006, I have been attending dog shows. We usually have four of those an year here in Fortaleza and yesterday we had our first this year. We had Yaza (or Yaya, how I like to call her) as a Beginner French Bulldog Puppy and Mirabela (or just Mira) as an experienced Grand Championship Class French Bulldog Bitch. Although they each won their classes only one time out of three, Yaza got the certificates needed to be Brazilian Beginner Champion and Mira… Well, Mira got some points to add to her current status of #1 French Bulldog in Brazil, 2008, at the Dog Show Ranking.

I didn’t even come here to ramble about dog shows, but I must whine! My arms hurt like hell from carrying Mira and Yaya around for more than an h0ur straight, and I’ve only just noticed today. I’ve had some people come up to me and show interest on the breed and all, but I left all my contact cards inside my purse which was tucked away somewhere on my handler’s camp. The Boyfriend was helping with the pre-ring organization in one of the three rings, so it was really kinda lonely at times, but it did end surprisingly early.

And mom doesn’t even know that Yaya is ours, but I’m taking the coward’s way and waiting till she’s travelling this thursday to bring Yaza over. Once she arrives, a week after that, Yaya will be so settled down and polite and sweet that she won’t find anything not to like. Or so I hope.

Plan

I think I might have dropped out of college. Turns out I am not nearly half as geek as I thought I was, to endure 5 years of working my butt off to learn how to program or other joys of Computer Science. But as of yesterday I am now a Girl with a Plan. And the Plan is called Advertising.

Basically it all started some six months ago - no, wait. It all started some eight semesters ago, when upon failing Calculus I and Linear Algebra, a young and unexperience Vivz realized she got into nerdschool without even knowing what an algorythm was. Then, some seven semesters after that, after dragging myself through half the whole course in double the time it should actually take me, plus much desperation from my part,  Rafaella, a friend of Caleb’s, came home for a puppy. We started talking and she’s doing the exact same thing I want to be doing. This is it, folks.  It’s calling me like the One Ring calls the nazguls.

And all this time I kept thinking, thinking what was wrong with me, could I really be this dumb after getting into a decent college, after being so smart all the way through school, why the hell was I not able to code a calculator in Pascal on my lunch break on the first week. The doubts. It is safe to say that this situation is a direct result of bad college structure, lack of info about college majors, vivz not wanting to listen to herself (I actually did consider Advertising for a while but loads of people talked me out of it for the most ridiculous reasons ever) and vivz being way to immature some 4 years ago, when this all started.

I never took myself to be a college drop-out. I just thought that things would work smoothly after I got into one of the top colleges, so when I did get into one, I stopped caring. I know better now and I’m done with fooling around.

At least until July or so, which is when I can actually do something about my education. Until then, I’m seeking a job, building websites, having fun with my boyfriend and dogs, and trying to live one day after another.

Hey there! I recently got myself a domain. Or two. Okay, make it three and a reseller hosting account. Ain’t I insane? Anyways, I figured I should put it all to good use! :) So, here I am, ready to put all the lazy behind me. I expect signing up for a del.icio.us account too, some time. I already got the useless Twitter, but it’s not so useless, since today I felt like twittering hundred times out of home. Too bad my texting cell phone plan sucks big time.

That’s about it for now.
